Farscape #2

Just finished lettering the second issue of the ongoing Farscape comic book. After a quick search online for a cover, I noticed nobody had it online. A little research and I found this doesn't come out until December which explains it... the newest Previews catalog which offers titles to comic shops doesn't come out until next week (that's where this issue is solicited).

So... sweet! We're getting really ahead on this series. I like it. No crazy deadlines to worry about. A shout-out to Ian Brill, the editor on the series for making this happen.

X-Men Forever #9

Phew. Didn't think I could pull it off, but I did it in one night. My editors should be very pleased. Hey, maybe this deserves a raise?! heh.

It sure was a busy week. Thursday will be edits day and probably a book upload here and there. But I'm taking Friday off. A much deserved extended weekend. Have some friends visiting my new home.

The Anchor #1

Phil Hester is popping up all over the place lately. I already letter one of his other titles; Vampirella, so this was a pleasant surprise. Originally I finished the first 10 pages last month for a CBR preview so that only left 12 pages to finish off last night. Another issue down, one more to go this week and I call it a week (taking Friday off).

Luke McBain #1

I've been chipping away on this book since last month, a page here, a page there. Seems I've been doing that with most of the books I work on, seems to work, and I end up being more productive.

But the trick is keeping a style sheet for each series so I can keep track of the type of fonts, balloons, captions, and sfx I use. Next up is the final pages for Anchor and then I'm just waiting on pages to roll in for the next X-Men.

GeNext: United #5

What I thought was a pretty well thought out week, someone relaxing. Hey, I had the whole scheduling thing going on... turned out to be a busy end of the month with me banging through several books. Also seeing unexpected titles roll in at the last minute too. But you know what I say to that? Bring it on!

Still squeezing in a game here and there of Arkham Asylum. The game is the best thing to hit XBox in a long while. Also noticed XBox Live is offering a new level for premium subscribers. Hopefully that restriction isn't still there by the time I finish Arkham.

God of War #1

Got a new series with Wildstorm and it's based on a video game property which I was actually pursuing a couple years back. It never got into the big time stage, just a passing interest, but still. Cool that I finally get to work on it! I wish I had a Playstation to check out the game, heard great things about it. But for now, I'll stick with my XBox and Arkham Asylum (since that game has been keeping me busy for over a week now). Wonder if we'll start seeing a other comic-based video games coming out more often now that Arkham is a success? Hope so.

Irredeemable #7

Irredeemable 7 is finished. Sweet ending to this issue! Next up on my slate is God of War #1 - which should be finished tonight. Immediately following that is the fifth issue of GeNext with Luke McBain #1 and Anchor #1 finishing up the beginning of my week.

Non-comic/work related -- my Verizon contract ends today so now I'm able to switch to AT&T and go iPhone! Can't wait!

Farscape D'Argo's Trial #3

Finished another issue of D'argo. I've been enjoying this storyline a lot, one of my favorites from the Farscape series so far.

This week I'm juggling God Of War #1, Luke McBain #1, Anchor #1, and Irredeemable #7. Phew.

28 Days Later #4

Lemme tell you... this book is crazy deadline insane. Last night I received a call telling me all the pages were uploaded and they needed the issue finished by morning. A little freaky. But here it is, afternoon time (my time zone) and it's done.

Currently three books on my slate this week, all are about half finished; McBain, Irredeemable, and Anchor. Looks like I should have some time to start packing up my stuff and moving into my new digs.

Die Hard #2

Here's a title I've been chipping away at. Actually, with most Boom titles, I try to stay caught up as the pages are uploaded. It's less hassle to have to bang through a whole issue in a day. At this moment, I have about half of Irredeemable and Anchor finished. Just waiting for more pages to roll in before I can complete them.

Tomorrow I should be finished with D'Argo's Trial #3.

X-Men Forever #8

Just finished the next issue of X-Men Forever. I think this is a bi-weekly series? Can you imagine if comics were published bi-weekly? That'd be crazy, but kind of neat.

Next up is D'Argo's Trial #3 and Irredeemable #7. Also have to blast through a bunch of Previews ads for Boom!

Vampirella Second Coming #3

I dig Vampirella comics. I'm really glad I'm lettering this series. With this issue, Al Rio takes over the interior art chores, and the dude knows how to draw. Wonder why he doesn't attach himself to a regular monthly gig?

An old friend of mine, Franchesco draws one of the variant covers. I was wondering where he took off to! Yo, Franchesco!
