BloodRayne: Prime Cuts #3

Finally! Man, I gotta say, it's a bitch squeezing in the Digital Webbing published stuff around the paying gigs. I think there's one more issue of BloodRayne in me and I'll keep her on hiatus for a little while.

Got an email from Zombie Highway creator Jason Pell, he's ready for the next mini-series. Hopefully we can get that out. So look for it in July solicitations with Fist of Justice #5.

Prototype #1

I actually lettered this book back in September but couldn't announce it since Wildstorm hadn't announced it. I just saw it in the latest distributor catalog with a Jim Lee cover so it should be safe to mention here.

This is a sweet book based on a video game property. It's written by Justin Grey and Jimmy Palmiotti with art by Darick Robertson and Matt Jacobs. Is that an awesome creative team or what?

Irredeemable #1

I was suppose to work on a couple other things tonight, one being the BloodRayne comic I publish through my own publishing company, but I'm fighting the start of a cold. So instead of wasting the night, I pulled out the remaining pages of Mark Waid's Irredeemable #1, a new ongoing series being published through Boom! Studios. I had previously lettered about 3/4 of the issue already so I figured I could blast through the 6-7 odd pages that remained before calling it a night. Now I can't wait to see what happens in the next issue. It's good stuff, folks.

Infinite Horizon #4

Phil Noto is a master at color and art. Each panel, each page is a beauty to look at. And that Gerry Duggan character ain't so bad at constructing a story either. Hah!

I just finished dropping down the lettering, SFX and balloons. But one thing I regret is not being able to work on this in it's colored state, I would have gone a much different route. So I'm just doing the best I can and hope it doesn't disappoint anyone. Next up! Finish BloodRayne and get that off to the printer!

X-Files #5

Finished lettering the fifth issue. Hoping the sixth issue rolls in page by page so I can blast through it because I think I got a crazy March happening for some reason. No idea why, just that feeling.

Received the finished cover pencils for Fist of Justice #5 from my buddy Deon Nuckols. Very sweet. Anthony Castrillo is inking and as soon as that rolls in, getting it colored so the comic book can be solicited for a July release. With a little luck, that should bring us to monthly issue throughout the rest of the year. More details later!

Farscape #3

Farscape 3 is in the can. Lots going on in this issue. Some disturbing things too but you'll have to read it to find out.

Pages for Fist of Justice FCBD have been rolling in. We decided to insert a new sequence at the last minute. It'll help bridge this issue with the 6 issues of Digital Webbing Presents (in case you're coming in when the free issue hits shops this May). As always, you can pick up back issues at the Digital Webbing site if you feel the urge.

Warhammer Online FCBD

Finished designing one of the FCBD books for Boom. That's a sweet cover, ain't it? Any Warhammer fans picking this book up will be happy to discover it's a complete story and NOT from any of the previously published mini-series.

So when you hit the local shop to pick up your free copy, don't forget to pick up your free copy of Fist Of Justice by Digital Webbing!

The Remnant #4

Finished lettering Stephen Baldwin's last issue of the Remnant. I gotta tell you, it was a pleasure working on this title. More and more actors are getting into comic books and personally don't think that's a bad thing. It tells us comic books have outgrown it's... what's that word I'm thinking of... mind blank, can't think of it. But it outgrown it. LOL -- and stepped up into regular mainstream entertainment.

I bet this concept gets picked up as a movie. Boom Studios has a pretty good track record of crossing over their properties to movies. Next up on my work schedule; have a few pages of Farscape to finish, BloodRayne, X-Files, and a catalog for the bookstore market.

Iron Sirens #4

Believe it or not, there can be life outside of the regular comic shop distribution channels. One book that proves this is Iron Sirens, the comic/photo magazine featuring top fitness models.

If you're a regular to the convention and fitness circuit, you can pick up this issue and all the previous ones. You can even get them signed by the models themselves. If you can can't make it out to the shows, the Digital Webbing site usually has a few copies available. Look for the next issue sometime this summer.

Hero Squared: Love & Death #2

Finished Hero Squared #2. It's a mad-rush this week since the whole comic industry is going to NYCC this weekend. I got my pro-pass and want to go but a few things are getting in the way. The main one being where to leave my pet, going to NY can't be a single day event. It's a 6-hour drive, not really looking into that. But the other factor is since it's mad-crazy, I got lots of books to finish so it looks like I'll be working all weekend anways.
